All of our children take part in age appropriate Forest School Education. Children who engage in and are stimulated by regular outdoor learning develop increased confidence, learning capacity, enthusiasm, problem solving skills and well-being. Activities include (but are not limited to) outdoor cooking (campfire), den making, wood whittling, natural art & craft, spotting minibeasts, climbing trees and establishing physical and behavioural boundaries.

Children from our Foundation Unit regularly visit a local care home, Hadrian’s House where they visit with the elderly residents. Our partnership with Hadrian House was inspired by Channel 4’s 2017 documentary ‘Old People’s Homes for 4 year Olds’, Based on an idea from the USA which has been practiced for over 25 years, the aim is to improve the health & happiness of the older people.
